International Roadcheck starts today. Are you and your rig ready? Follow this checklist to ensure you’re prepared for inspection day:
Brakes: Ensure your brake systems are functioning properly and check for leaks or damage.
Lights: Verify that all lights (headlights, taillights, and turn signals) are fully functional.
Tires: Check tire pressure and tread depth.
Cargo Securement: Confirm that all cargo is properly secured using appropriate tie-downs and equipment.
Antilock Braking System Functionality: Look for any damage or corrosion on wheel speed sensors and wiring.
Prepare Necessary Documentation: Make sure you have your CDL, medical examiner’s certificate, hours of service documentation, vehicle registration/insurance, shipping papers, and annual inspection records.
Maintain a Clean Vehicle: Ensure the interior is tidy and free from dirt or debris. The emergency equipment should also be easily accessible.
